Welcome to Warwick Boat Club – a members’ sports club that provides tennis, squash, rowing, bowls and social facilities. Located in one of the most picturesque settings in England, our grounds slope down to the River Avon and – with the historic Warwick Castle as a backdrop – it is a truly beautiful location.
Formed in 1861 the Club is owned and run by its members and is therefore united by a special team spirit. The Club’s vision is to be recognised as the most welcoming community sports club in the Midlands, which provides a vibrant and progressive environment that thrives on enjoyable sports participation and social opportunities, in excellent surroundings for all…
There are 11 state-of-the-art artificial grass tennis courts – ten of them floodlit; two squash courts; a bowling green, and a 2000 metre navigable section of the river.
The Club, which completed a £200,000 clubhouse facilities improvement scheme in 2013, organises a wide range of social events with great catering, live bands, and barbeques on the banks of the river.
Further ambitious plans are currently being discussed with local planners to improve all facilities at the Club.
The Club operates according to its set of values: progressive; positive; inclusive; safe; sustainable and always acting with integrity, and so attracts members from Warwick, Leamington, Stratford-upon-Avon, Solihull, Banbury, Coventry and surrounding areas.
