Ladies' Team Success: The Ladies' team, captained by Helen Simpson, with Susanna Tetely co-ordinating the junior talent, exhibited remarkable consistency and tenacity throughout the season. Their journey to the top was paved with several nail-biting encounters, including a memorable 4-0 victory against their fiercest rivals, the Leamington Tennis Club. The team’s success was a result of strategic planning, years of training, and an unwavering focus on each match, no matter how challenging.
Helen, reflecting on the team's victory and as the linking thread to the previous players participating in the 2009 premier win, said, "Representing Warwick Boat Club is a real privilege, and to secure the title again is testament to the hard work many people have put in over the last few years to create an environment where everybody can thrive."
Men's Team Dominance: Not to be outdone, the Men’s team, led by captain Cameron Malik, also demonstrated their prowess on the court, securing the league title with a series of commanding performances. Their season was highlighted by a decisive 4-0 win over David Lloyd Solihull, which set their position at the top of the standings.
The Tennis Committee's Team Tennis representative, Tors Moffett, expressed her delight at the teams' victories, saying, "This is a proud moment for everyone associated with Warwick Boat Club. Both the Ladies’ and Men’s teams have shown tremendous spirit and determination throughout the season, and their success is a fitting reward for all their hard work
