On Saturday, May 18th from 5.30pm we will be welcoming Craig Bowler, Kieran Rollings and Nicky Brett as guests to the club. Craig was guest speaker at our 2023 Presentation Evening where he spoke about his remarkable journey into bowling and brought along his Commonwealth Games Bronze medal for us to see. During the dinner, we collected £400 for his chosen Charity, Disability Bowls England and he accepted our invitation to visit the club this season in order for him to receive the cheque.
We are delighted that he has now agreed to join us on May 18th and along with Kieran Rollings his Commonwealth games doubles partner and Nicky Brett, Commonwealth Gold medal winner and bowls international, will play a match against a men’s triple from our club. The evening promises to be a memorable one for the bowls section and we hope many members from other sports sections will join us for the evening to watch the game and be there for the presentation of the cheque. We have arranged for a cold supper to be served during the evening and tickets for this will be £5.
